Company Registration

In Malta, the most common type of corporate body is the Limited Liability Company which can be either public or private. When registering a Limited Liability Company in Malta one must do so in accordance with the Companies Act (Chapter 386 of the Laws of Malta) which lists down all the formal requirements.

Firstly a Memorandum and Articles of Association must be submitted to the Registrar of Companies and must contain some necessary information about the body corporate such as whether the company is private or public, its registered address in Malta, the objects of the company, the amount of share capital with which the company proposes to be registered, number of directors and their personal details.

Once all necessary documentation and information is submitted to the Registrar of Companies, the process for registration may take up as little as 24 hours to be completed.
